I cannot believe it is already the middle of October. We were so lucky to be so very busy this summer I haven’t been able to blog since July! So many wonderful things have been happening around here it is going to be hard to fit it all in one post! Over the past three months we have been a part of 28 wedding receptions, really fun company BBQ’s, countless corporate orders that kept us very busy through the week.
It was great to visit new venues and be able to make new connections within the business. Thank you to St Josef’s Winery, Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast, The Big Food Lodge, The Ainsworth House, Northstar Ballroom, Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom, Bridal Veil Lakes, The Joseph Mattey House, Postlewait’s Country Weddings, Wine Country Farm, and many others in the Portland area who opened your doors to us and shared your beautiful spaces!
We have already started to book for next summer which is so exciting. We enjoyed every single wedding this summer and cannot wait to be a part of even more special days in the future!
With catering there isn’t really a slow season for us so we are gearing up for the busy Holiday Season. We hope to be a part of fun holiday parties and luncheons this year with some fun new recipes. Stay tuned for our menus and updates in the coming months!
As many Oregonians are aware, earlier this month a historic building and venue located in Corbett Oregon- The Viewpoint Inn had a horrible fire and is closed until further notice. Even more unfortunately there were 50 weddings booked at that venue which means there are 50 couples without a venue to celebrate their very special day.
Eric and I were talking about this fire and how horrible we felt for each and every couple going through the process of creating their special day all over again and trying to find the funds to do so. We decided that we wanted to help in any way we could.
We recently took over the booking and organization of a wedding venue in Oregon City so we thought wouldn't it be great to provide these couples a venue for FREE?! They lost their deposit and a chunk of money with the Viewpoint Inn, if we provide the venue rental for free we thought that would be the best way we could help.
We have yet to hear from any displaced brides which means two things, they have already found other great venues to hold their wedding, or they just don't know about it! If you could, help us spread the word! Im sure there is a bride out there that would love to know about this great offer!

Lately I have been getting a lot of questions about what we do as a company. In short we cater! Haha. In all seriousness I think it is important that people know that we cater to each individual or couple and their event. It is important to us that we know what the client wants and provide that service they are looking for, it isn’t up to us, it is up to you! Whether it is a full service 6 course meal, or a family BBQ in the backyard, your event is important and we want to make your event successful no matter what.
We can create personalized menus with items we do have or create new items that fit your event. We have had people bring in a family recipe to make for their event and it went great. You can always add that personal touch to the menu; just ask we are always happy to accommodate personal requests. Especially when it comes to yummy food : )

Written by Katie GutierrezWow July already?! It seems as though we have been a little slow at writing our blog. There is so much to update you on. The biggest thing we have to share with you is change; changes all over the company that we think are going to be a huge step in the right direction.
We have hired on some GREAT new people to help us out in the kitchen. They see and understand our vision and it's great to see everyone coming together to make everything happen. Especially when we have 8 different orders going out at lunch, everyone just works together to accomplish what needs to get done. Waitstaff, Waitstaff, Waitstaff-All I can say is that we have an awesome front of house crew as we head into wedding season. I am impressed by each and every waitstaff that is on our team; their personalities and attention to detail will be a huge part of our success this summer.
Our website!! Can you believe the change from our old website? We are so pleased with our new website design from Light Speed Designs. Byron spent a lot of time creating our vision for our new website and really made it come alive. We hope that the photo features and informative features makes life a little easier when deciding your menu selections. : )
Last but of course not least what is new with our food?! We have some great new menus out: Summer 2011, 2011 BBQ menus, even the spring menu has some really awesome new items on it. One of my personal favorites is the BLT Crostini-a great sandwich classic in bite size with an awesome twist with a garlic aioli sauce. We are also going to start to premote a "fine dining" service for our clients, stay tuned for updates on that, it is sure to impress any guest of yours!
