I cannot believe it is already the middle of October. We were so lucky to be so very busy this summer I haven’t been able to blog since July! So many wonderful things have been happening around here it is going to be hard to fit it all in one post! Over the past three months we have been a part of 28 wedding receptions, really fun company BBQ’s, countless corporate orders that kept us very busy through the week.
It was great to visit new venues and be able to make new connections within the business. Thank you to St Josef’s Winery, Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast, The Big Food Lodge, The Ainsworth House, Northstar Ballroom, Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom, Bridal Veil Lakes, The Joseph Mattey House, Postlewait’s Country Weddings, Wine Country Farm, and many others in the Portland area who opened your doors to us and shared your beautiful spaces!
We have already started to book for next summer which is so exciting. We enjoyed every single wedding this summer and cannot wait to be a part of even more special days in the future!
With catering there isn’t really a slow season for us so we are gearing up for the busy Holiday Season. We hope to be a part of fun holiday parties and luncheons this year with some fun new recipes. Stay tuned for our menus and updates in the coming months!
As many Oregonians are aware, earlier this month a historic building and venue located in Corbett Oregon- The Viewpoint Inn had a horrible fire and is closed until further notice. Even more unfortunately there were 50 weddings booked at that venue which means there are 50 couples without a venue to celebrate their very special day.
Eric and I were talking about this fire and how horrible we felt for each and every couple going through the process of creating their special day all over again and trying to find the funds to do so. We decided that we wanted to help in any way we could.
We recently took over the booking and organization of a wedding venue in Oregon City so we thought wouldn't it be great to provide these couples a venue for FREE?! They lost their deposit and a chunk of money with the Viewpoint Inn, if we provide the venue rental for free we thought that would be the best way we could help.
We have yet to hear from any displaced brides which means two things, they have already found other great venues to hold their wedding, or they just don't know about it! If you could, help us spread the word! Im sure there is a bride out there that would love to know about this great offer!
